Founded in November of 2010, Pleasant Plains Workshop is an arts incubator with a gallery & shop that showcases works by our resident artists as well as other DC-based artists. We also host a number of events such as poetry readings, art critques, cd release parties, and small group classes.
PPW’s Current resident artists are Ken Ashton, Kristina Bilonick, Anthony Dihle , Bethany Hansen, Chris Haughery, Danielle Scruggs, Ann-Marie Van Tassell, and Martine Workman. Read more about them on the resident artists page and stop by and say hello during our open hours!
In 2013 we launched and completed a successful fundraising campaign to help us expand into the building next door. We occupied that space for a year, and soon grew out of it. We’ve now set up new, larger studio spaces in the nearby Brookland Arts District. Our gallery and shop remain on Georgia Avenue.
