Join us on January 29th for the opening of our next exhibition, Making Gains, a solo exhibition by resident printmaker, Chris Haughery:
Opening Reception: Friday, January 29th, 7-9pm (facebook invite>>). Exhibitions at Curator’s Office & Isham/Willis Studios will also be open during our event!
Location: 703 Edgewood St NE #2 (Edgewood St Studios, above Mess Hall, across from Dew Drop Inn)
Getting here: Short walk from Rhode Island Ave or Brookland Metro, H8 Bus, hop off the Metropolitan bike trail at 8th St, or plenty of street parking along Edgewood St. NE
Making Gains is an exploration of gradient and process that pushes the traditional boundaries of screen printing. It is part of an ongoing examination of techniques that Haughery has been developing in the studio that both harnesses unexpected outcomes and creates specific directions for blended colors and forms. Come see this latest series of prints, and as a bonus, view Chris’ process and outtakes from the exhibition in his workspace, also housed at Pleasant Plains Workshop!
Chris Haughery is a resident artist at Pleasant Plains Workshop whose screen printed work examines themes of process and memory. His work has been exhibited in the Philadelphia area at lowercase gallery, Indoor Rooftop Studios, Parlor Gallery, and more recently in Washington D.C. at Hole in the Sky.
Exhibition runs through February and is open on evenings and weekends by appointment (contact us).
